The Foot Doctor

My name is John-Paul Gordon, I am 36 years old, and I am a podiatrist with Body Quest. I spent my early years growing up in the west end of St. John's and then spent four years living in the Goulds. At the age of 10 my family settled in Mount Pearl and decided to make this small city our home. Upon completion of high school I attended Memorial Univ...ersity and attained a Bachelor of Commerce degree, followed by a short stint studying french at Universite Laval in Quebec City. I was then hired by the Provincial Government, Department of Health and Community Services, and employed with the task of recruiting physicians from our medical school to service the rural areas of Newfoundland and Labrador. My tenure with the Government was an enjoyable and rewarding one and gave me a great deal of insight into health care in this Province. In speaking with many physicians I came to realize that there was a need for podiatry services in Newfoundland and decided to venture down this career path. I was accepted into the podiatry program at The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in Toronto in early 2010 and completed the program with distinction in 2013. I returned to St. John's immediately following my graduation and have been practicing in the city ever since. More
